Harold “Lamp” Lamprich

ur Rotarian of the Day today is Harold “Lamp” Lamprich. Lamp was born October 30, 1923. He graduated from Will Rogers High School in 1942 and the University of Tulsa in 1950, and was in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1943-1945. He married Eloise Jones Lamprich in 1950. They have two children: Julie (1951) and Jane (1954).

Lamp is a member of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church, officiated in the Missouri Valley Conference for 20 years, and is in the Hall of Fame of the Oklahoma High School Officiated Association.

He is a charter member of Southside Rotary, was Sergeant at Arms for 35 years, has been a member of the Rotary Men of Note for 33 years, and he has 50 years of perfect attendance at Rotary.

Beverly M. Dollar

ur speaker today is Beverly M. Dollar. Beverly was raised in Pawhuska, Oklahoma and graduated from Pawhuska High School. She attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated in 1984 with a bachelor of science in chemical engineering. She then attended the University of Tulsa School of Law and received her Juris Doctorate in 1987.

From 1987-1995, Beverly worked as a staff patent attorney in the patent department of Phillips Petroleum Company in Bartlesville. From 1995-1998, she was an assistant general patent counsel, with responsibility over the company’s trademarks, copyrights and foreign patents.

From 1998-2002, Beverly worked as a staff attorney in the corporate counsel organization for Phillips Petroleum Company, during which time she assisted in the acquisitions of the Arco Alaska Operations and Tosco operations, the formation of the Duke Energy Field Services and Chevron Phillips Chemical Company joint ventures, and the merger of Conoco and Phillips.

In 2002, Beverly was appointed chief intellectual property counsel for the newly created ConocoPhillips Company, a position she held until 2007. Beverly recently “retired” from ConocoPhillips to spend more time with her children and pursue private practice and consulting opportunities.

Beverly is a member of the Oklahoma bar, and certified to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. She has been active in various intellectual property-related and bar associations, including the: Intellectual Property Owners Association, the Intellectual Property Owners Education Foundation Board, the Association of Corporate Patent Counsel, the Oklahoma Bar Association, Intellectual Property Law Section and the Washington County Bar Association.

Beverly also devotes time to local charitable organizations and school-related booster clubs. She and her husband, Jerry, and their two children Travis and Lindsay, live in Skiatook and enjoy lake sports and their collection of pets (including rabbits, dogs, cats, fish and horses).
