Rotarian of the Day
Jonathan Cox

Jonathan Cox

O

ur “Rotarian of the Day” today is Jonathan Cox. Jonathan is a marketing analyst and logistics specialist for Xeal Corporation. He is currently completing his bachelor’s in accounting with a minor in computer science at Northeastern State University. His ambition is to use his fledgling company, Aqua Vita, as a marketing and financial consulting firm for non-profit organizations struggling with funding and publicity. His first step toward that goal has been the construction of a website and a marketing campaign by Engineers in Action.

Jonathan has been married for 2 1/2 years to the beautiful Mrs. Jessica Cox, whom he met in a brothel in Arizona, he says.

In his free time (such as it is), Jonathan escapes to the wilds as often as possible to pursue his hobbies of rock climbing, hiking and camping. Jonathan’s other interests include martial arts, cooking, woodworking, writing, and improving his horrendous golf game. Doesn’t dancing come into the picture somewhere?

Jonathan, it’s so good to have you in our club, and thank you for arranging today’s program.

This Week’s Program

John K. Harris

O

ur speaker today is Dr. John K. Harris, Ph.D. He is a “numbers guy” who turns an analytical eye on the S&P 500. Before his retirement, he was professor of accounting at the University of Tulsa and a CPA for 25 years.

In recent years, Barron’s has published his stock market research. For 20 years, he has authored the Student Guide that accompanies Cost Accounting: A Managerial Emphasis, the leading textbook in its field. His most recent book, The Wall Street Traffic Light, takes a look at 70 years of Wall Street history and breaks it down for the average investor.

Dr. Harris, thank you for being with us. The Rotary Club of Southside Tulsa welcomes you.
