ur “Rotarian of the Day” today is one of our newer members, Benjamin Gibbs. Benjamin grew up in Owasso and was an outstanding athlete, playing golf, track, basketball, baseball and football. He attended the University of Oklahoma and was an assistant for Coach Mike Stoops. For a time, he considered coaching in college football, but he felt pulled in another direction.
Benjamin grew up learning how to run a business. His family owns Ameristar Fence Products and his brother owns Owasso Fence Company. Since he was involved with business at an early age, Benjamin became enthralled with the stock market. He majored in marketing and management, but his love was finance. Today he is a financial advisor for Morgan Stanley and runs a custom portfolio.
In a nutshell, Benjamin works a lot, plays golf, loves his dog, travels a ton, watches football, scuba dives, is a lake rat, loves music and wine, reads, and enjoys good friends.
Benjamin, it’s good to have you in our club. Thanks for arranging today’s program.
