ur Rotarian of the Day today is Jessica Cox. Jessica was born in Denver, Colorado, and has lived in Tulsa since she was 7 years old. She went to Wright Christian Academy for high school and graduated from the University of Oklahoma in May 2006, with a B.A. in journalism (professional writing). She never attended more than one football game during her entire career at college, much to the dismay of her father and grandfather.
Graduation wasn’t the only major event for Jessica in May 2006: she married Jonathan Cox just two days before getting her degree.
Since then, Jessica has put her degree to use helping businesses market themselves online. Currently, she is the marketing director for Aqua Vita Creative, a creative design and development firm.
She has been a member of Southside since April 2008, and was asked to help with publicity before she even got her blue badge. Thanks to her efforts, we were able to garner tons of positive publicity early this year as we built the Biscuit Acres Dog Park. This year, Jessica was asked to take over as membership chair, and she’s been doing a great job so far.
Jessica, it’s great to have you in the club!
