
ur Rotarian of the Day today is Thomas Cox. Born in Georgia in 1975, Tom has lived in Tulsa since 1995. He got his B.S. in computer science from the school of hard knocks, and is now working on his degree from OSU.
Tom is a programmer for Aqua Vita Creative, a design and development firm, and LaBarge, a defense subcontractor. He has managed complex global networks for LEVEL III and has co-created a national real estate system similar to Realtor.com. In addition to programming, Tom also owns the Java Dave’s CafĂ© at 101st and Elm in Broken Arrow.
Tom was proposed for membership in Southside by his brother, Jonathan Cox, and has been a member since 2008.
Tom lives in Broken Arrow with his wife and their two daughters, Abby and Alexa.

Jeff Mulder
oday’s speaker is Jeff Mulder. Jeff began serving as the Airport Director for the Tulsa Airport Authority on May 2, 2005. Jeff came to Tulsa after five years of service as the Airport Director of the Outagamie County Regional Airport in Appleton, Wisconsin.
Jeff was also at the Evansville Regional Airport from 1996 to 2000, Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport from 1990 to 1996, and New Orleans International Airport from 1988 to 1990.
Jeff is an accredited member of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), has a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Technology & Operations from Western Michigan University, and has an MBA from Cardinal Stritch College.
Jeff is a commercial pilot, a certified flight instructor, and a member of the Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association. A native of Imlay City, Michigan, Jeff and his wife, Leslie, have three children.

Last week…
- Our ROD was Jessica Cox, and our speaker was Steve Hahn with Operation Aware and Family & Children’s Services.
- We had a board meeting last Wednesday. The board approved prizes for the membership drive, and they approved two new members, who were published in the bulletin last week.
- October 11 is Volunteer Appreciation Night at Biscuit Acres. Be sure to come out and say “thank you” to all the people who have been working to keep our park clean and well-stocked!
- Scotch and Cigar Night will be October 23 at Tom Wilson’s house. Cost will be about $25-$30; we’ll let you know soon. Tom Wilson will not be repeating his magnificent fall of last year, but it should be a fun event all the same!
- Also around that same time is the District 6110 conference in Rogers, Ark., at the Embassy Suites. It’s October 22-25, and if you’d like to go, all the information is on the district website, 6110times.org.
- The Dictionary Project begins this week! Will we once again have the stellar team of Dopp and den Daas making the rest of us feel good about when we delivered our dictionaries? Only time will tell…
