He was introduced to Rotary over 60 years ago as his grandfather was a charter member of the Downtown Club. John Benjamin, a friend of over 30 years, was his sponsor to Southside, so you can blame John for Bob.

Bob, thank you for arranging today’s program.

This Week’s Program

Trooper Antonio Porter

O

ur speaker today is Trooper Antonio Porter. He is assigned to the Public Affairs Division of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. He works as an LEL (Law Enforcement Liaison) and has been in this position since May of this year. His duties include contacting local police departments and guiding them through the process of registering and participating in state and national safety campaigns such as our current “Drunk driving…over the limit-under arrest,” which focuses on preventing DUI.

Another of Trooper Porter’s duties is to conduct safety talks to private groups. He works very well in groups and uses his experience as an associate pastor of his church to speak to young and old in the area of traffic safety. He began his career with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol in January 1990 and has spent the entire 18 years in and around the Tulsa Metro area.

His topic today will be road rage, drunk driving, seat belt laws, and new state laws pertaining to driving.

Trooper Porter, the Rotary Club of Southside Tulsa welcomes you today. Thanks for being with us.
